Sojourners: Christians for Justice and Peace

Mobilization to End Poverty

This spring, we are taking the Vote Out Poverty campaign to Washington, D.C., to demand that the president and Congress stand up to fight poverty in the United States. On April 26-29, 2009, join Sojourners and 2,000 Christians from across the country – you don’t want to miss this opportunity!

Why mobilize?

Many campaigns focus their energy on turning out votes for Election Day. But after the election ends, so does the urgency to act on campaign promises. We are mobilizing in Washington to make sure that the president and Congress take action to dramatically reduce both global and domestic poverty once they are in office.

When and where do we mobilize?

April 26-29, 2009
Washington, D.C., Convention Center
Registration opens November 2008! Discounted student and group rates available.
Rally – Worship – Learn – Advocate – Share – Mobilize

The Mobilization to End Poverty would not be possible without the sponsors of our Vote Out Poverty training conference, and our partnering churches and organizations. Thank you!

Our sponsors section is coming soon! If you are interested in sponsoring the Mobilization to End Poverty, please contact Larisa Friesen at lfriesen@sojo.net.
