The following is a list of campaigns and organizations focused on the common goal of ending poverty during this election season. Half in Ten, led by the Center for American Progress, is a coalition of organizations which plans to reduce poverty in the U.S. by fifty percent over the next ten years. Spotlight on Poverty and Opportunity, created by the leading foundations in the country, asks presidential candidates what they plan to do to expand economic opportunity for all Americans. This website includes helpful news updates on the issue of poverty in America. Faith Fighting Poverty is a national movement asking people of faith to take action Sept. 10-16 th against poverty in their communities and working with the presidential campaigns Vote the Common Good calls Catholics to vote according to the good of all in this election year. Faithful Democracy is a nonpartisan, online clearinghouse made up of national, faith-based organizations that intend to educate and engage people of faith about their role in the democratic process. National Campaign for Fair Elections is a national movement committed to ensuring that all voters have an equal opportunity to cast a meaningful ballot. |
