The Vote Out Poverty campaign is made of individuals, churches, and groups across the country. Join the movement to make ending poverty a national priority! Here are four quick, effective ways to get connected to the Vote Out Poverty campaign:
Share the Vote Out Poverty message with your church, family, and friends. We have tools to get you started. Poverty Sunday: Host a Poverty Sunday service on or around September 21 to raise up the issue of poverty in your worship service. Voter Issue Guide: Issues and values Christians should consider before heading to the polls. Share with friends and church members.
Sign the Vote Out Poverty pledge. Your voice will be amplified when we ask our elected officials to join with you in signing a leadership pledge on ending poverty in our nation.
Join or create a local Vote Out Poverty team to run the campaign in your community. Learn more at our local teams page. After the election, travel to Washington, D.C., on April 26-29, 2009, for a historic moment calling our new president to make poverty history. Together with 2,000 Christians from across the country, we will ask our national leaders to join our movement against poverty. Visit our local teams and resources pages for more ways to get involved. |
